Dawn Tamarkin designed these products based on her 20 years of experience in teaching biology at a community college. The products are geared to help students learn essential biology information (and not just memorize it) through hands-on interactions and inquiry. Regardless of a students' abilities/disabilities or learning style, these products will enable learning.

Cell Zone® products reach a wide range of students

Although developed by a college professor, Cell Zone®, Inc. products work for students of many ages.  Learning about cells can lead to proficiency of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) as early as 5th grade (toward describing matter that is too small to be seen).  The concept of the cell is specifically addressed in the NGSS by middle school and continues through high school.  The cell is then also taught in college introductory biology classes and cell biology classes.  For this reason, the Dynamic Cell Models can be used with all ages from 5th graders through college students.  The Diversity Kits reach content specified in the NGSS from the 2nd grade, so we have one kit geared toward elementary and middle school students, while another is for high school and college students.  Our Mitosis Sequencing Kits and Molecular Puzzles meet the learning needs of high school and college students.  The posters can be used for any classroom.
